How we give back
The DSA, a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization, along with the Santa Barbara Deputy Sheriffs’ Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c)(3), strive to make a difference in our communities.
DSA Funding Priorities:
Support Fallen/Injured Officers
- Support of fellow Law Enforcement members in times of need.
Support opportunities to enhance Community Relations

- Sponsorships of team/school events in which DSA Members will have the benefit of participation to connect with the community.
- Marketing to promote the DSA.
- Must be located within Santa Barbara County.
Santa Barbara Deputy Sheriffs’ Foundation Funding Priorities:
The mission of the Santa Barbara Deputy Sheriffs’ Foundation is to provide critical resources and vital support to improve public safety, officer readiness, and enhance the quality of life for the 450+ men and women who have answered the call to serve our communities. The SBDS Foundation provides financial support to non-profit organizations and local charities that strive to make a difference in our community and to bridge the relationships between law enforcement and the communities we serve.
Support opportunities to enhance Community Relations
- Events or initiatives that engage Law Enforcement with the community in a positive environment.
Support local Law Enforcement through program enhancements and member services
- Funding for equipment, programs, facilities that fall beyond the scope of the county’s responsibility.
- Mental Health and Wellbeing initiatives.
- Scholarship.
Support Local Non-profits and Charities
- Partnerships that highlight the foundation’s support of community projects and initiatives.
- Must be located within Santa Barbara County.
We generally don’t support:

- Religious groups for religious purposes
- Political efforts
- Individuals
- Trips or tours
- Individual club teams (but leagues representing multiple teams are welcome to apply)
